its better for everyone

The house i live in is separated into 2 properties for renting purposes. The half i live in is rented for $285 and $225 for the other half; $510 in total. My half has 4 rooms which i sublet at $63, $68, 73 and $81, with no lounge to minimize room prices. This side ahas a small kitchen with fridge and stove/oven. There is a room with a shower, toilet, washbasin and washing machine. No one is currently living in the $73 room. There is no one living in the other half of the house. My side of the house went un occupied for 3 months before we moved into it. There are 3 rooms and a sunroom attached to one of the rooms in the other half.

If the two halves of the house were to be joined and the house rented on a per room basis with the task of finding flatmates left up to a combination of advertisements on trademe and friendships of persons living in the house, rent prices could be $55, $60, $65, $70, $75, $80, $85, $90 for the 8 rooms for a total of $580 when fully populated or for a more social open living scenario the largest room could be a lounge+dining with rent prices of $58, $63, $68, $73, $78, $83, $88 for a total of $511, $1more than their current total asking price.

Locks on all the doors would be nice, either a latch on the inside for privacy or with lock/doorhandle intergration. Dogs woudl be allowed due to the backyard and gate. The washing line in the other half gets sun all day long whilst the house blocks out sun coverage for this halves' washing line.

Multiple unlimited telecom connections could be bonded together to create a reasonably fat, unlimited pipe.

This has been done before, it lasted 3 months.

I feel very strongly about this
